TD1 copy cat

#1 Post by pokkis »

Here pics of TD1 copy-cat for my slalom board.
It gives nice damping on more rough surface.

I need to test with multiple dambber hardness on end during winter but even with current ones it feels good.
Much lighter than plate, but still lot of equal benefits.

It works for slalom board well, but for GS I still prefer traditional floating plate.

I remember that people says that the td1 put a lot of force on the inserts and thends to damage them that's why the changed for the fantastic TD2

Sure but the points of pressure look similar.

I had Bomber TD1 on Burton FP and F2 RS and I didn't have any problem.

Me neither, but TD's had no real suspension.
Mine has suspension in centre and both corners

I agree, the TD1 (if I'm not wrong) had only the disc without any suspension at its ends (toe and heel).
This new test-system, as far as I see, has got the suspensions on its ends and... this splits the pressure along the whole binding, not only in the centre (as the original td1)...
This could be a good idea, even if I fear that, with the use, the suspensions could loose their shape producing room between suspension and board (so this could create again the situation of the old TD1 that destroied the boards).
Who knows?
