3 Since when you are on hard snowboarding.
4 What do you think about new tecnologies: decamber, rocker, taper, multi radius, materials such as carbon fiber and titanal , plates.
Decambered noses make a board easier to handle, specially when racing.
It helps you to make smooth corrections without losing speed. No comment to rocker and taper.Multi radius makes a board more flexible in various situations.
Specially for racing it helps to find the best possible radius within turns.
Multi radius and stiffness of a board have an important dependency between each other.
Carbon fiber and titanal have different characteristics. Both materials are ideal for some kind of boards and the usage is depending on the expectations of a rider. For some situations it also makes sense to combine this stuff.
Some plates allow you riding in a higher position. Others reduce the vibrations from the piste to the rider. Others bring a much better and dynamic behavior of the board, as the board can flex much better in one line, not interrupted by the bindings.
And there are plates who combine all these and perhaps more positive characteristics in one plate.
